how to use my services

I am available for both one-time and standing appointments, as well as larger projects that require several sessions to complete.

Clients love that I can be their regular garden care person, but they can also call on me to watch their pets when they go away for a long weekend. Or I might be their regular weekday dog walker, but also take care of grocery shopping and food prep during especially busy weeks.

Seasonal home-care packages could include monthly or quarterly domestic maintenance, managing vendors, decorating, managing emergency preparedness, and keeping track of tasks that are easily forgotten. I delight in giving new life to what you already have, repurposing, and thrifting for the perfect item for your holiday centerpiece or yard decoration.

For elders, having someone to regularly check in can naturally grow into strategizing your needs together and adding weekly gentle movement sessions, checking the mail, sitting and knitting on the porch, or tackling an organization project.

While I enjoy tending the weekly and monthly needs of your yard, I also love larger transformations like converting lawn to natural landscape, planting perennials, brainstorming ideas for your aspirations and challenges, and helping with homesteading projects.

Think of me as a concierge domestic responder, an snohomish county neighbor working to build community and keep the old arts alive,

one connection at a time.

About Sonya

I grew up in Mill Creek and Edmonds, exploring North Creek, listening to frogs, and climbing trees.

Over the next couple decades, I worked in farm-to-table restaurants, traveled, volunteered on farms, developed a yoga practice, helped launch a small bed & breakfast, went to seminary, worked in arts administration and event production, and moved back to Edmonds in 2024.

Along the way, I lived in cities and rural islands, multiple countries, and different types of households, communities, and cultures.

Now, my mission is to root into this land I call home, grow networks of care, and tend the dynamic interdependence of life all around us.

what i don't do

I'm not a housekeeper, but I can hire one for you!

I can take care of basic 'dry' cleaning tasks such as sweeping, dusting, and tidying; but not 'wet' cleaning like bathrooms and kitchens (unless I'm prepping food for you, of course).

I'm also not a nanny, though I enjoy being around kids!

In my work with seniors, I don't handle meds, do personal hygiene, or anything that requires a license beyond a yoga teacher certification.

Alas, my tree climbing days are over, and I don't climb ladders without someone to spot me. On that note, I don't get on roofs, use heavy power tools, or do anything that seems unsafe for myself or anyone else.

I am not qualified to assist those with hoarding disorders.
