Make the Holiday Season a Little Easier

how to use my services

I’m available for one-time visits, standing appointments, and larger projects that unfold over time.

Clients appreciate the flexibility — I might be your regular dog walker and also help prep meals during a busy week, or tend your garden monthly and also care for your pets while you’re away.

Seasonal home care could include domestic upkeep, managing vendors, decorating, or preparing for emergencies — always with a spirit of thoughtful care.

For elders, simple check-ins often grow into supportive routines: walking the dog, checking the mail, sharing a task, or sitting on the porch with a bit of knitting and conversation.

I love maintaining gardens, but also enjoy deeper transformations — converting lawn to natural space, planting perennials, or supporting homesteading projects.

Think of me as a concierge domestic responder, a Sno-King neighbor helping keep the old arts alive, one connection at a time.

About Sonya

I grew up in Mill Creek and Edmonds, exploring North Creek, listening to frogs, and climbing trees.

Over the next couple decades, I worked in farm-to-table restaurants, traveled, volunteered on farms, developed a yoga practice, helped launch a small bed & breakfast, went to seminary, worked in arts administration and event production, and moved back to Edmonds in 2024.

Along the way, I lived in cities and rural islands, multiple countries, and different types of households, communities, and cultures.

Now, my mission is to root into this land I call home, grow networks of care, and tend the dynamic interdependence of life all around us.

what i don't do

  • I'm not a housekeeper, but I can hire one for you! I can take care of basic 'dry' cleaning tasks such as sweeping, dusting, and tidying; but not 'wet' cleaning like bathrooms and kitchens (unless I'm prepping food for you, of course).

  • I'm also not a nanny, though I enjoy being around kids!

  • In my work with seniors, I don't handle meds, do personal hygiene, or anything that requires a license beyond a yoga teacher certification.

  • I don't transport people in my car.

  • Alas, my tree climbing days are over, and I don't climb ladders without someone to spot me. On that note, I don't get on roofs, use heavy power tools, or do anything that seems unsafe for myself or anyone else.

  • I am not qualified to assist those with hoarding disorders.
